We are seeking a proactive and customer-driven professional to join our team as a Service & Parts Coordinator. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of both our Service and Parts Departments. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth workflows, delivering excellent customer service, and driving efficiency across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Department Oversight
- Take ownership of Service and Parts operations, ensuring both departments run efficiently and profitably.
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a positive team culture.
- Coordinate between technicians, vendors, and customers to maintain clear communication and timely service.
- Monitor inventory levels, service schedules, and department performance, making adjustments as needed.
- Implement best practices to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Customer Service & Parts Management
- Greet and assist customers with parts, accessories, and service needs.
- Process parts sales, special orders, and returns accurately using the inventory management system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked Parts Department.
- Provide knowledgeable product recommendations and suggest add-ons to enhance the customer’s boating experience.
- Manage parts receiving, inspections, and vendor communications.
Service Coordination & Workflow Management
- Create, manage, and close repair orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Schedule service appointments and assign work to technicians based on availability and priority.
- Communicate updates, costs, and timelines to customers in a clear and professional manner.
- Ensure all required parts are available to complete repair orders on time.
- Oversee quality and timeliness of completed service work, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in business, service management, or marine technology is a plus.
- Proven experience in service coordination, parts management, or a leadership role in a customer-focused environment.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with computer systems; experience with inventory and service management software preferred.
- Knowledge of marine products and equipment is an asset (training available).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects when required.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, and holidays.
