We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Marine Parts Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marine equipment and parts, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional service to our customers. The Marine Parts Specialist will be responsible for assisting customers in identifying and selecting the right parts for their marine equipment, managing inventory, processing orders, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in identifying, sourcing, and selecting the appropriate marine parts and equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by offering expert advice and guidance on parts selection and compatibility.
- Manage inventory, including receiving, organizing, and maintaining stock levels of marine parts and equipment.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with suppliers to procure necessary parts and negotiate pricing to ensure competitive advantage.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and technological advancements in the marine parts and equipment sector.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide technical support when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized parts department, ensuring a professional and inviting environment for customers.
Gordon Bay services over 2,000 boats annually. We have mechanics who work in our service bays, as well as crews who are out on the lakes working in customers boat-houses.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a marine parts or similar technical sales role.
- In-depth knowledge of marine parts, equipment, and their applications.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in using inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A passion for boating and marine activities is a plus.
