Accounting Manager, East Muskoka region

We are seeking a strong, motivated individual for this role; a self-starter that enjoys a challenge.  Demonstrating effective communication skills, you will create a collaborative, and positive dialogue with the management team and will supply timely and accurate financial reporting.  A College level accounting designation or a strong background in accounting is the recommended requirement for this position.  Excellent customer service skills are a must.

Accounting Manager, East Muskoka region

Accounting Duties include:

  • Monthly reconciliation of bank account(s).
  • Ensure receivables are collected promptly with the assistance of applicable departments.
  • Code and pay supplier invoices, and reconcile vendor statements in a timely manner.
  • Balance and maintain accurate ledgers.
  • Generating a variety of client invoicing, including finance charges, statements, dockage, rent, etc.
  • Generate bi-weekly payroll time-sheets in accordance with HR policies and procedures for the payroll department.
  • Review budget variances and report significant issues to management.
  • Oversee adherence to company office policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for all boat sale administration and floorplan management.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to managers.
  • Timely, accurate month-end and as needed reporting to senior accountant.
  • Oversee the POS operations
  • Oversee the financial well-being of the Fuel Dock.
  • Work with Dockage co-ordinator to ensure accuracy with occupancy at Marina.
  • Assist Payroll Manager with upkeep of Marina employee records.
  • Accounting designation is preferred

Other Duties:

  • Customer service
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Responding to email and telephone inquiries
  • Covering for absent staff
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Assist Marina Management as necessary
  • Assist the Regional Marketing Manager with Marina activities such as PR events, year end parties etc.
