What is a Seminar?

Seminars are designed to help both novice and experienced boaters gain confidence on the water, improve their navigation skills, and discover exciting new boating destinations. Even if you’ve been boating for years, attending a seminar is a great way to refresh your knowledge, learn about the latest technologies and regulations, and make new connections in the boating community. Where will the seminar take place

The Women at the Helm, Basics at the Helm, and Ladies of the Lake all take place on the water. When booking your spot, please confirm the meeting location is at your home port or location of your choosing, as we are offering sessions at multiple marinas.

All seminars are open to boaters at any of our 19 marina locations.

What do I need to bring with me?

You are not required to bring anything to the seminars. However, if you are attending an on-water course and have a boating licence we do request you bring it with you. A valid boating licence is not required during the course.

Life jackets will be onboard the boat for the Women at the Helm and Basics at the Helm seminars. Participants are not required to bring their own.

Can I bring a guest with me?

Due to limited space available, all guests need to be registered to attend the seminars. Please ensure everyone planning to attend is individually registered under their own name.

How long are in-person seminars?

You can expect to be on the water for 2 and a half hours during the Women at the Helm, Basics of the Helm, and Ladies of the Lake seminars.
