Hey ladies! This event is just what you're looking for to gain confidence on the water. Join us for a 3-hour, on-water lesson to learn the basics of operating a boat.
New to boating, looking for a refresher, or getting acquainted with a new boat? We’re pleased to offer you a complimentary 3-hour, on-water lesson to help you gain confidence at the helm this summer. This course is open to all.
Interested in learning the best boating destinations to enjoy and discover on Georgian Bay? Please join us for a free seminar being offered exclusively to our valued Maple Leaf Marina customers.
The Women at the Helm and Basics at the Helm both take place on the water. When booking your spot, please confirm the meeting location is at your home port or location of your choosing as we are offering sessions at multiple marinas.
The Cruising Georgian Bay seminar takes place at Maple Canadian Pub, located at Wye Heritage Marine Resort (3282 Ogdens Beach Rd., Midland)
All seminars are open to boaters at any of our 19 marina locations.
What do I need to bring with me?
You are not required to bring anything to the seminars. However, if you are attending an on-water course and have a boating licence we do request you bring it with you. A valid boating licence is not required during the course.
Life jackets will be onboard the boat for the Women at the Helm and Basics at the Helm seminars. Participants are not required to bring their own.
Can I bring a guest with me?
Due to limited space available, all guests need to be registered to attend the seminars. Please ensure everyone planning to attend is individually registered under their own name.
How long are in-person seminars?
You can expect to be on the water for 3-hours during the Women at the Helm and Basics of the Helm seminars.
The Cruising on Georgian Bay seminar is approximately 2-hours in length and takes place at Maple Canadian Pub, located at our Wye Heritage location (3282 Ogdens Beach Rd., Midland)
