Seminars are designed to help both novice and experienced boaters gain confidence on the water, improve their navigation skills, and discover exciting new boating destinations. Even if you’ve been boating for years, attending a seminar is a great way to refresh your knowledge, learn about the latest technologies and regulations, and make new connections in the boating community. The Women at the Helm and Basics at the Helm both take place on the water. When booking your spot, please confirm the meeting location is at your home port or location of your choosing as we are offering sessions at multiple marinas.
The Cruising Georgian Bay seminar takes place at Maple Canadian Pub, located at Wye Heritage Marine Resort (3282 Ogdens Beach Rd., Midland)
All seminars are open to boaters at any of our 19 marina locations.
You are not required to bring anything to the seminars. However, if you are attending an on-water course and have a boating licence we do request you bring it with you. A valid boating licence is not required during the course.
Life jackets will be onboard the boat for the Women at the Helm and Basics at the Helm seminars. Participants are not required to bring their own.
Due to limited space available, all guests need to be registered to attend the seminars. Please ensure everyone planning to attend is individually registered under their own name.
You can expect to be on the water for 3-hours during the Women at the Helm and Basics of the Helm seminars.
The Cruising on Georgian Bay seminar is approximately 2-hours in length and takes place at Maple Canadian Pub, located at our Wye Heritage location (3282 Ogdens Beach Rd., Midland)
